Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Idris Muhammad, who runs Gistpot ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Gistpot you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Gistpot

• You must be 13 or older. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, you confirm a parent or guardian agrees to you using Gistpot.
• One person per account. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
• You may not use Gistpot if we have banned you before.

2. Be decent: what's not allowed

Do not use Gistpot to post, send or share anything that:

• sexually exploits or endangers children, in any way (see our Child Safety Standards): we remove it, ban the account and report it to the authorities;
• bullies, harasses, threatens or doxxes anyone, or encourages self-harm;
• attacks people for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or similar;
• contains nudity or sexual content, or graphic violence;
• is a scam, spam, malware, or tries to get people's passwords or money;
• pretends to be someone else, or another company or brand;
• breaks the law or infringes someone else's copyright or other rights;
• cheats in games, abuses bugs, or interferes with Gistpot or other people's use of it (including scraping, bots and attacks).

3. Your content

• You own what you post. You give us a worldwide, free licence to store, copy, resize, show and send it, only to run and improve Gistpot (for example to deliver your message or show your Vibe). This ends when you delete it, except copies others already received (like messages) and short-term backups.
• Only post content you have the right to share.

4. Reporting and moderation

• You can report posts, Vibes, comments, messages, statuses and people in the app, and block anyone.
• We may review reported content and remove anything that breaks these terms, and we may warn, suspend or ban accounts. Serious harm, especially to children, is reported to the authorities.

5. Coins, games and features

• Coins, XP, trophies and other in-game items have no money value, cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money, and may change.
• Live scores, news and featured videos come from third parties (for example ESPN data, news publishers and YouTube). We do not control them and they may be delayed or wrong. Featured YouTube videos belong to their creators and YouTube's terms apply.
• Features may change, and we may stop parts of the service.

6. No warranty, limited liability

Gistpot is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and safe but cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or secure. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content posted by other users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

7. Ending your use

You can stop using Gistpot and delete your account at any time (Settings → Account → Delete account, or on the web). We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; we will change the date above and tell you in the app about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
