Child Safety Standards
Effective 2 October 2026
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first. In Nigeria call 112. You can also report to NAPTIP (naptip.gov.ng) or, anywhere in the world, to the NCMEC CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org).
Gistpot has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, and any content or behaviour that sexualises, endangers or exploits children.
Our standards
- Gistpot is only for people aged 13 and older. Everyone confirms their age when they sign up, and accounts of children under 13 are removed.
- Our Terms of use forbid CSAE in every part of Gistpot: chats, posts, comments, statuses, Vibes, channels and profiles.
- Content that breaks these standards is removed, the accounts involved are banned, and we report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the relevant authorities (including NCMEC and Nigerian law enforcement) as the law requires.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests that follow legal process.
How to report
- In the app: on any post, Vibe, comment, message, status or profile, choose Report → "A child may be at risk". These reports are marked for priority review.
- Block the account straight away (it can no longer message or call you).
- Or contact our child-safety contact below.
What we do with reports
- Moderators review child-safety reports first.
- We remove the content, ban the account, keep the evidence securely for the authorities, and report it.
- We never share who made a report with the reported account.
